Bivalve? No, bye bye.

I woke this morning and felt a little sting on one side of my mouth. As I'd suspected, last night at Daddy-O's birthday dinner in Annapolis (a lovely gathering of the Significant Other, his parents visiting from Texas, and my parents) I'd gotten a little slice on my lip from the edge of an oyster shell. "Huh," I thought to myself. "I guess I could blog about that today."

And that friends, is when I realized it's time to take an intermission.

No, no, it could be as simple as a couple days. (And then as soon as I posted that the Oscar nominations came out and now I'm all in a lather over them, so we'll see.)

It's so hard coming back from vacay, isn't it?

Isn't it funny how often that thought pops into your head?

No, it's not the thought of blogging that bothered me Barzelay. It's the thought that for even 10 seconds I thought that people might care about me slicing my kisser on an oyster shell.
I realized that if that was the best I could muster, it was time to take a little breather.

Do more WTTHUF. I suggest those sneakers with wheels in them. I'm about to murder a whole flock of children the next time one goes whizzing by me.

I believe that next week I'll be ready to dust the dirt off my shoulders and re-enter the fray. And yes Captain, those wheely sneakers are high on my comeback list for derision.

I hate those sneakers. I like oysters, though.
