Which one did the bonfire? Do they still do it?
Yep, that was A&M. No, in 1999 the bonfire collapsed while the kids were building it, killing 12 of them. That put an end to that. But there has been an unsanctioned off-campus one in recent years that is apparently getting quite sizeable. True story: some Aggie couples get a groom's cake that looks like bonfire for their wedding receptions.
Believe it or not, I've been to College Station. Send my love to the Dixie Chicken.
